Since its inception in 1899, Miele has been an independent family business committed to its owners, employees, customers, suppliers, the environment and society.
Miele is owned by the Miele and Zinkann families. Approximately 60 partners are direct descendants of the founders Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann.
Both families have also been represented in the management since the founding of the company.
The company specialises in the manufacture of household appliances for cooking, laundry and floor care as well as industrial appliances and medical equipment (“Miele Professional”). To become the most popular brand in the market, the vision must be strategic.
Miele offers its customers products that are built on criteria of durability, performance, ease of use, energy efficiency, design and service. Hence the slogan “Immer besser” (“Always better”), which founders Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann put on the first machines – and which Miele still uses today.
